How many of you have an American Home Shield Warranty?

Do you like it? Why or why not?
Yes, have had it about 2 years.
I got it after a computer chip on my refrigerator failed, and cost me $350.00. Now for a 45 deductible, I get all the appliances fixed. Also, my plan covers sewers, plumbing lines & electrical.
Ok, so some of the people they send out aren't as intelligent as I would like, but if you have a problem with one, they don't charge you another deductible. I had one plumber tell me the item which bbroke wasn't covered, and I called and complained to AHS. They sent a different plumber, who said the item was covered. I ggot it fixed and no additional deductible

I think my mom does. She likes it because the service visits are only $45 and the repair or replacement is included. Last time she had both her fridge repaired and dishwasher replaced for $45.

the seller of the last house we bought had to provide it.. We had to contact them twice.. they were very easy to work with.. no complaints here.

I had a good experience with them, except for a plumber they once sent. He actually did a fine job, but did some additional work that was not covered under the warranty; after being specifically directed to limit his work to covered items.

I hated them. They left me without an air conditioner for 2 weeks in Kansas summer, pregnant on bed rest because they would not overnight a small part. The people they had come out were incompetent and rude. I had to call them to let them know the part was in and tell them to come out that day. I was glad when warranty was over!
With another issue I had to had drywall repaired. Again the companies they use are incompetent. Actually got into a fight with the guy as he was over 4 hours late.

I recommend it. I sank over $10K in house repairs before I knew about AHS. Get it before stuff starts to fall apart.
